| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Count Simon August of Lippe facing right, with elaborately curled hair rendered in fine detail. The portrait is executed in the prevailing Baroque court style, with lace or ruffled collar visible at the truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading from the lower left and running clockwise around the entire field. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible at the periphery. |
