Reverse description Three imperial crowns — the Holy Roman Imperial crown, an electoral crown, and an orb surmounted by a cross — displayed upon a richly draped table covered with fringed cloth and supported by ornate scrolled legs. The scepter and sword of imperial office are laid across the table, flanking the crowns. The legend DUCUM MAXIMUS arches above the composition, while the exergue bears the commemorative inscription FELICIT : ELECT : / D 13 SEP 1745, recording the date of Francis I's election as Holy Roman Emperor on 13 September 1745. The entire design is enclosed within a raised rim and executed in finely detailed high relief.
