| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach in ecclesiastical vestments, wearing a skullcap, with naturalistically rendered curled hair visible beneath. The portrait is executed in fine relief with careful cross-hatched engraving on the mozzetta. The circular Latin legend surrounding the effigy reads SIGISMUNDUS D G ARCHIEPISCOP, interrupted at the base by the truncation of the bust.
