Obverse description Octagonal hammered gold emergency piece featuring a crowned oval shield at center, bearing the arms of Braunau (Bavaria) depicted as a horizontally divided escutcheon with a checkered pattern in the lower half, the shield surmounted by an elaborate crown. The legend is distributed around the periphery of the octagonal flan, reading BRAVNAV on the left and L:F:H:Z:S: on the right, with the date 1743 divided across the upper field and the inscription 9. MAY. appearing in the lower segment, all struck in the bold, slightly irregular style characteristic of siege coinage.

Obverse lettering BRAVNAV - L:F:H:Z:S: 9. MAY.
Reverse description Plain, entirely blank octagonal gold surface with no devices, legends, or inscriptions of any kind, typical of hastily produced siege coinage where the reverse was left uniface. The flat field displays only the natural texture and minor irregularities inherent to hammered gold planchets of the period.
