| Obverse description | Ornate quartered heraldic shield surmounted by a great helm with crest, displaying the arms of Breslau, the Bohemian lion, the Silesian eagle, and the letter W alongside the bust of John the Evangelist; at the center of the composition, the severed head of John the Baptist is depicted on a charger. The civic initials S.P.Q.W. (Senatus Populusque Wratislaviensis) appear prominently in the field above the achievement of arms.
