| Obverse description | Elaborately mantled and ornamented quartered coat of arms of the Salzburg Chapter, surmounted by a mitre and flanked by decorative foliate scrollwork, set within an oval cartouche. The shield displays the traditional heraldic divisions of the archbishopric, including the lion of Salzburg and the pale of the chapter.
