| Obverse description | Full-length crowned figure of Emperor Rudolf II standing facing, clad in elaborate armoured regalia, holding an orb in his right hand and a sceptre in his left. The emperor is depicted in Renaissance style with fine detail to the armour and imperial vestments. A beaded inner circle frames the central effigy.
