| Obverse description | Large Greek cross occupying the central field, with three pellets (bullet points) arranged in each of the four quadrants formed by the cross arms. The cross is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, with the Cyrillic legend disposed in the outer circular field. The overall design reflects the Byzantine-influenced coinage tradition of medieval Wallachia, executed in a bold hammered style typical of the late 14th century. |
