| 裏面の説明 | Full-length figure of Saint Christopher, bearded and mantled, striding to the right through stylized waves while bearing the Christ Child upon his shoulders; the Child is depicted with a halo and raises one hand in blessing. Petr Vok of Rosenberg, the last of his line, issued this ducat from his Třeboň mint as the family's financial position was deteriorating sharply under the weight of accumulated debts. The Rosenbergs — for centuries the most powerful noble house in Bohemia — were effectively spending themselves into extinction. Petr Vok would sell Český Krumlov to Emperor Rudolf II in 1601 just to stay solvent, and died without an heir in 1611, extinguishing the dynasty entirely.
Noble mint rights in Bohemia were increasingly curtailed by Habsburg pressure through this period, making 1595 a relatively late date for such an issue.
