| Beschrijving keerzijde | Full-length figure of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of the Reichenstein mint, standing facing left in the field, depicted as a bearded man carrying the Christ Child on his shoulders and leaning on a tall staff or palm trunk. The figure is rendered in the mannered late Renaissance style with flowing drapery. The date 1594 appears in the field to the left of the figure. The circumferential legend MONÆ·NO·AVREA·REICHTENENSIS·1594 surrounds the design in Latin characters, identifying this as the new gold money of Reichenstein. |
