Obverse description Central field occupied by the rampant Bohemian lion facing left within a beaded inner circle, rendered in the late Gothic style typical of Jagiellonian-era coinage. The circular legend reads LVDOVICVS D G R BOE with the date 1518 incorporated into the legend at the top. The inscription is separated from the inner field by a beaded border, and the overall design reflects the hammered coinage tradition of the Bohemian royal mint.
