Obverse description Bare-headed bust of King Ludwig I of Bavaria in right profile, rendered in a classical Neoclassical style with finely engraved wavy hair. The truncation of the neck is smooth and unadorned. The Latin legend arcs around the upper periphery of the field, reading LUDOVICUS I BAVARIAE REX.

Reverse description A reclining river god, personifying the Inn River, turned to the right and glancing backwards over his shoulder, depicted in the classical tradition with flowing drapery and a recumbent posture. The date in Roman numerals appears in the exergue. The Latin legend EX AURO OENI arcs around the periphery, indicating the coin was struck from gold of the Inn River.
