Obverse description Central device comprising the elaborate archiepiscopal coat of arms of Leopold Anton von Firmian, displayed beneath a galero (broad-brimmed ecclesiastical hat) with pendant tassels on either side. The quartered shield incorporates the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg and the Firmian family, surmounted by a processional cross. The field is framed by a finely beaded border, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading LEOPOLDVS DEI GRATIA ARCHIEPISCOPVS SALISBURGI APOSTOLICAE SEDIS LEGATUS, abbreviated as indicated on the coin.
