The date 1744 is divided and placed in the lower field on either side of the frame. The motto legend SPENDOR ET AUXILIUM is inscribed around the periphery, terminating with a period. The overall composition is characteristic of the ornate Baroque heraldic style prevalent in German ecclesiastical coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. |
