Obverse description Armoured and draped bust of Emperor Joseph I facing right, wearing a long curly wig, with the collar and pendant badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended across the chest. The legend, rendered in Latin, is interrupted at the top and base of the design by the bust itself, with no inner circle delineating the field. The portrait is executed in the high-relief Baroque style typical of early eighteenth-century Habsburg coinage.
