Reverse description Two crowned standing figures flank a prominent gothic cathedral or city gate at centre, depicted with multiple towers and an arched entrance; below the structure is a shield bearing the Bamberg imperial eagle. The figure to the left, identified as the bishop, is vested in pontifical robes and holds a pastoral staff, while the crowned figure to the right, representing Emperor Rudolf II, holds an orb or sceptre. Both figures appear in three-quarter relief in a bold, late Renaissance engraving style, enclosed within a beaded border, with the circumferential Latin legend naming Rudolf II as Holy Roman Emperor running around the outer field.
