Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Johann Georg IV, Elector of Saxony, facing right, wearing a flowing curled wig and a sword belt with a sword held diagonally across his chest, all within a beaded inner circle. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque manner typical of late 17th-century Saxon coinage. A Latin legend runs around the periphery outside the inner circle, identifying the ruler by name and title.
