Obverse description Armored equestrian figure of John George I advancing to the right, depicted on horseback in full armor and wearing an electoral crown, brandishing a sword upright in his right hand. The date 1619 is divided on either side of the horse's forequarters. In the lower field, a crowned ornate Saxon coat of arms with electoral swords is displayed beneath the horse. The encircling legend PRO LEGE ET GREGE (For the Law and the People) runs along the left and right periphery of the coin in bold hammered Latin lettering.
