背面描述 Full-length standing figure of Saint Willibald, first Bishop of Eichstätt, depicted facing front in full pontifical vestments including mitre, cope, and alb, holding a crozier in his right hand and a book in his left. The saint stands upon a stepped plinth or pedestal occupying the lower field. The circular Latin legend surrounds the figure, with the date 17–38 divided at the base on either side of the plinth. The engraving is executed in a precise and dignified baroque style with fine drapery detail.

附加信息

Johann Anton II von Freyberg-Hopferau held the See of Eichstätt from 1736 until his death in 1740 — a episcopate so brief that coinage issued in his name is scarce across all denominations. The Bishopric had maintained mint rights since the medieval period, but by the early eighteenth century output was largely ceremonial, produced for gift-giving and diplomatic exchange rather than commerce.

Four years into his reign, this ducat was among the last struck before the see passed to Johann Martin von Empacher.
