Obverse description Full-length effigy of Emperor Charles V, facing right, depicted in full regalia with crown, armor, and imperial mantle. The emperor holds an orb in his left hand and a scepter in his right, standing in a frontal pose with slight rightward turn. The figure is rendered in a late-Gothic to early-Renaissance style typical of immobilized Habsburg coinage. The Latin legend encircles the entire design within a beaded border.
