| Obverse description | A full-length standing armored knight faces right at center, holding an upright sword in his right hand and a bundle of arrows in his left, symbolizing the unity of the Dutch provinces. The host coin date 1693 is divided across the field on either side of the knight's legs. The circular legend CONCORDIA RES PAR CRES HOL runs along the periphery. A rectangular countermark bearing the letter 'B' (for Batavia) is applied to the left field, indicating the coin's authorization for circulation in the Netherlands East Indies. |
