| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Count Hermann von Hatzfeld in right profile, wearing plate armor with decorative shoulder pauldrons and a lace cravat, the hair rendered in loose curls. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field and is executed in high relief with fine engraved detail on the cuirass.
