| 背面描述 | The reverse bears a seven-line Latin inscription filling the entire field, commemorating the millennium anniversary of Saint Sturm (Sturmo), the first Abbot of Fulda, and celebrating Bishop Heinrich's fiftieth anniversary in holy orders. A decorative floral or foliate ornament crowns the text at the top of the field. The inscription is enclosed within a plain raised border, and the Roman numeral date MDCCLXXIX appears in the final line. |

Henry VIII of Bibra served as Prince-Bishop of Fulda from 1759 until his death in 1788, presiding over one of the wealthiest ecclesiastical territories in the Holy Roman Empire. This 1779 silver pattern was struck in the ducat format — a denomination conventionally issued in gold — making it an explicit proof-of-concept piece, almost certainly produced for presentation or archival purposes rather than any intended circulation.
Pattern strikes of this kind were common practice in German ecclesiastical mints when testing new dies or documenting a proposed coinage for court records.
