Reverse description A crowned lined orb bearing the three crowns of Sweden, encircled by the chain of the Order of the Seraphim. Above the crown's tip rises a radiant star, with the royal motto legend arching above in the upper field. The date 1796 is divided at either side of the chain, below a horizontal line, flanking the mintmaster's initials O·L·. In the exergue, rendered in a brickwork pattern, are the provincial arms of Småland: a rampant lion holding a crossbow, denoting that the gold was sourced from the Ädelfors mines in Småland.
