| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered royal Swedish coat of arms, surmounted by a royal crown, occupies the central field and is flanked on either side by ornate laurel or olive branches tied at the base, forming a wreath frame. The shield displays the three crowns of Sweden and the Swedish lion passant in alternating quarters, with a small inescutcheon at the center. Above the crowned shield, an abbreviated German legend GOTT MIT VNS (God with us) arches across the upper field. The date, split between left and right of the crown, appears as 16-31 or 16-32 depending on the year of striking. The overall composition reflects the propagandistic character of coinage struck during the Swedish occupation of Würzburg. |
