Obverse description Draped bust of King Frederik V facing right, his hair tied back and dressed in elaborate period robes with ornate foliate armour and a visible chain at the chest. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the Baroque tradition, with fine detail in the flowing hair and drapery. The mint mark 'A' appears below the bust at the bottom of the field. The circumferential Latin legend reads FRIDERICVS V D G REX DAN NOR V G A, identifying the king as Frederik V, by the Grace of God King of Denmark, Norway, the Wends and the Goths. The coin features a boldly milled edge and a wide, flat rim framing the design.
