Reverse description Central device depicts the elaborately rendered Danish royal coat of arms — a large crowned shield bearing the quartered arms of Denmark — set upon a mantled and crowned helm, the whole composition supported by ornate Baroque drapery and flanked by acanthus-scroll supporters resting on a stepped stone plinth. A column appears to the right of the shield, emphasising the architectural character of the design. The mint-master's initial A appears in the lower exergue. The circumscribed Latin motto PRUDENTIA ET CONSTANTIA arcs across the upper field.
