| Obverse description | Full-length standing figure of King Frederik V in royal coronation regalia, facing slightly right, wearing an ermine-trimmed mantle and an arched crown, holding a long sceptre in his right hand and an orb in his left. The king stands on a ground line with the flowing mantle dramatically spread about his feet, rendered in fine Baroque relief. The surrounding Latin legend reads FRIDERICVS V D G REX DAN NOR V G, and the date 1747 appears in the lower field below the figure, flanked by dots. |
