| Obverse description | Right-facing draped and cuirassed bust of King Frederik III, his shoulders clad in armor beneath a flowing mantle, with a continuous Latin legend encircling the effigy along the rim. The portrait is rendered in a formal Baroque style characteristic of mid-17th-century Danish royal coinage. The inscription identifies the king by name and title, reading from the upper left and continuing around the periphery of the field. |
