| Obverse description | Laureate and armored bust of Frederick William I facing right, wearing a laurel wreath entwined in his long curled wig and draped in ornate military armor with a sash visible across the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque style typical of early eighteenth-century German coinage. The Latin legend encircles the bust along the periphery, interrupted by the truncation of the portrait at lower left. A fine milled border frames the entire design. |
