| Obverse description | Draped bust of Frederick William I, King of Prussia, facing right, his head adorned with a flowing curly wig rendered in fine baroque detail. The effigy is portrayed in a classical style with naturalistic facial features and a plain truncation. The circular Latin legend reads FRID: WILH: D • G • REX • BORUSSIÆ, distributed around the periphery of the coin. The field is smooth and unadorned, allowing the portrait to dominate the composition. The milled edge is visible at the rim. |
