The shield is divided into multiple heraldic quarters depicting the various territorial arms of the duchy, including lions, eagles, and barry fields. The mintmaster initials A H and the date 17 32 are distributed to the left and right of the shield within the mantle. The peripheral Latin legend PIETATE ET IVSTITIA — meaning 'By Piety and Justice' — curves around the upper field. |
