Reverse description Central crowned oval cartouche bearing the Prussian eagle displayed, set within an elaborate baroque frame of scrollwork and foliage. The date 1744 is divided by the cartouche, with '17' to the left and '44' to the right. The mint mark 'W' (for Breslau/Wrocław) appears at the base, flanked by decorative scrolls. The circumferential Latin legend M.B.S.R.I.A.C.ET / PR.EL.S.SIL.D. runs around the periphery, referencing Frederick II's titles as Margrave of Brandenburg, Arch-Chamberlain of the Holy Roman Empire, and Duke of Silesia. The overall design is characteristic of the ornate Baroque style employed at the Breslau Mint during Frederick the Great's reign.
