| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Frederick August III, Elector of Saxony, depicted in military attire with an elaborately decorated cuirass and draped mantle. The hair is styled in the late 18th-century fashion with a short queue. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads FRID AVG D G DVX SAX ELECTOR, separated by a pellet stop. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail, set within a beaded border. |
