Reverse description The crowned Saxon electoral arms, elaborately draped with mantling on either side, are displayed centrally in the field. The shield bears the quartered arms of the Electorate of Saxony, surmounted by a princely crown with flowing cords and tassels. The legend, interrupted by punctuation dots, is distributed around the periphery and incorporates the elector's initials and the date. The letters F · A · appear above the shield flanking the crown, with E · S · at the sides, and the date 1 · 6 · 9 5 · along the lower portion.
