Franz I (Francis Stephen of Lorraine) held the Bohemian crown as consort to Maria Theresa, whose own right to the throne had triggered the War of the Austrian Succession. The Prague mint struck ducats in his name throughout this period, though effective monetary policy remained firmly under Maria Theresa's administration — Franz's role was largely titular in Bohemian affairs.
KM#751 ducats from Prague are notably scarcer than contemporary Vienna strikes, reflecting the relative output of the two mints during the 1750s and early 1760s.
