Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of Emperor Franz I, rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style, with finely detailed hair drawn back and tied with a ribbon. The truncation of the bust is unadorned. The encircling Latin legend reads FRANCISCVS I: D: G. AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR, denoting his title as Emperor of Austria by the grace of God. A mint letter appears in the lower field beneath the bust. The portrait conveys a formal imperial dignity characteristic of early 19th-century Austrian coinage.
