| Obverse description | Draped bust of Francis Louis of Pfalz-Neuburg facing right, wearing a voluminous curled wig in the late Baroque style, with elaborate lace cravat and armored shoulder visible below. A monogram or decorative device appears on the chest. The encircling Latin legend reads FRAN. LUD. D. G. EP. VRAT. ET. CAM. MAG. H. S. ORD. TEUT., interrupted at the base by the date 1701. The portrait is rendered in fine relief with strong detail characteristic of the Breslau mint, enclosed within a beaded inner border and an outer milled rim. |
