| Obverse description | Facing busts of Ferdinand II and Isabella I, each crowned with ornate Gothic crowns, positioned vis-à-vis at center with their effigies facing one another. A shared crown device appears between the two busts at the junction point. The monarchs are depicted with flowing hair and draped shoulders in the late medieval style. A circular Latin legend runs around the periphery of the irregular flan, interrupted by the busts. |
