| Obverse description | Full-length standing figure of Elector Ferdinand Maria facing three-quarters right, depicted in contemporary courtly armour and elaborate robes, holding a long sceptre in his left hand while resting his right hand upon an orb placed on a draped table to his right. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque style characteristic of mid-seventeenth-century German coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading the Elector's abbreviated titles and styles. |
