| Description de l’avers | Full-length armored figure of Emperor Ferdinand I standing facing, wearing elaborate plate armor and an imperial crown, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in his left. The effigy is rendered in the bold, high-relief style characteristic of mid-16th century Habsburg hammered gold coinage. A beaded inner border frames the central figure. The surrounding legend reads MON AVRE FER D INAND D G RO, abbreviated from the Latin monetary and titular inscription, distributed around the periphery of the coin. |

| Description du revers | Central quartered coat of arms surmounted by an imperial crown, displaying the arms of Hungary (barry of eight with lion rampant) and Bohemia (lion rampant), with additional heraldic charges in the lower quarters, all set within a shaped shield. The date numerals are split to either side of the shield within the inner beaded border. A circular legend surrounds the shield, reading RO VNG BOE REX IN HIS ARCHID CAR 15 50, recording Ferdinand I's titles as King of the Romans, Hungary, and Bohemia, Archduke of Austria, and Duke of Carinthia, with the mint year distributed within the legend. |
