Reverse description Crowned quartered shield of arms occupying the central field, displaying the combined arms of Hungary and Bohemia within a beaded inner circle. The upper-left and lower-right quarters bear the Hungarian stripes, while the upper-right and lower-left quarters display the Bohemian lion rampant. The crown surmounting the shield is of an elaborate Renaissance form. The surrounding legend, interrupted by the date 1554 flanked by ornamental stops at the top, reads HVN BO REX IN HI ARCHID CAR, abbreviating Ferdinand's titles as King of Hungary and Bohemia, Archduke of Austria and Duke of Carinthia.
