Aanvullende informatie

Eberhard Louis was fourteen years old in 1697, ruling under a regency council following the death of his father Wilhelm Ludwig. The duchy was still clawing its way out of devastation left by Louis XIV's repeated military campaigns through Swabia, and gold coinage of this period was struck in limited quantities — more as financial instruments for elite transactions and diplomatic gifts than for any meaningful circulation.

Fr#3578 is a genuinely scarce Friedberg listing; surviving examples in any grade are infrequently encountered at auction.
