Obverse description Draped bust of Queen Christina of Sweden facing right, her hair elaborately curled and adorned, wearing a pearl necklace and lace collar in the baroque fashion of the mid-17th century. The effigy is rendered in fine relief characteristic of hammered gold coinage of the period. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, identifying the queen by name and royal title. The field is smooth and slightly convex, typical of ducats of this era.

Reverse description Crowned Swedish royal coat of arms featuring a quartered shield displaying the three crowns of Sweden and the Lion of Folkung, with a central escutcheon bearing the Vasa sheaf. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown of elaborate form. The date is divided across the upper field flanking the crown, and a circular Latin legend surrounding the arms records Christina's subsidiary titles. The overall composition is typical of Swedish regal coinage of the mid-17th century.
