Reverse description Central field displays the elaborately interlaced royal cipher of Christian V — the crowned initials C5 intertwined — set within a decorative wreath or foliate cartouche, surmounted by a royal crown at the top of the field. Four ornamental foliate flourishes occupy the cardinal points around the cipher, with two larger baroque scroll ornaments flanking the sides. The peripheral Latin legend encircles the design within a beaded border, recording the king's full ducal titles. The date 1685 appears incorporated into the reverse legend.
