| Beschrijving voorzijde | Conjoined facing busts of Georg Friedrich and Margrave Alexander, their portraits rendered in baroque style occupying the central field. The Roman numerals MDLVII and MDCCLXIX appear beneath the busts, commemorating the years 1557 and 1769 and evoking the dynastic continuity of the House of Brandenburg. A circumferential Latin legend encircles the effigies, identifying the rulers as Margraves of Brandenburg and Burggraves of Nuremberg. The coin is struck in high-relief with crisp detail characteristic of the Schwabach mint. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A draped classical altar occupies the central field, upon which rests an open book, symbolising the treaty uniting the two Franconian principalities. Flanking the altar on either side are crowned heraldic shields bearing the arms of the respective burggraviates of Nuremberg. The upper field carries the opening of the Latin legend PROVIDENTIA ET PACTIS in arched form, while a four-line commemorative inscription in the exergue records the union of the two burggraviates and the date D XX IAN MDCCLXIX (20 January 1769). A small engraver's initial G is visible at the base of the design. |
