| Obverse description | Ornate quartered heraldic shield of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, bearing lions, horses, and other dynastic charges arranged in multiple quarters, surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is elaborately mantled with foliate decoration on either side. The circular legend CAROLVS GVILELM·VS FERDINANDVS runs around the periphery in Latin characters, interrupted by a small cross ornament at the top, all within a beaded border. |
