Upon the eagle's breast is a quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Bavaria and the Palatinate, suspended within a collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The date 1792 appears in the exergue below the eagle, and a continuous abbreviated Latin legend of titles encircles the entire design within the milled rim. |
