Obverse description A classical altar or sarcophagus at center, decorated with festoons and garlands, bearing a three-line inscription on its face reading VOTA / REPET. / SVLZB. The altar is set upon a stepped plinth. Below, in the exergue, the Roman numeral date MDCCLXXXIII and the notation D·XXIV·VL· appear on two lines. The circular legend PRO SALVTE PRINCIPIS surrounds the design.
