Reverse description The crowned arms of Bavaria displayed on a shield divided into two quartered fields: the upper left bearing the rampant Palatine lion, the upper right bearing the lozengy fusils of Bavaria, and the lower center bearing the crowned orb of the Pfalz-Simmern line, all set within a wreath of laurel and palm branches tied at the base. The date 1794 appears in the exergue below the wreath. The encircling Latin legend S R I ARCHID & EL DVX I C L & M surrounds the composition, denoting the Elector's titles within the Holy Roman Empire.
